This was my first attempt at an actual album. Great Is The Lord, Most Wonderful, and Anxious Awaiting were recorded in early 2005 in my dorm room and a practice room at JBU. The rest was done on May 9-12th in a duplex on campus. (Plus some revisions to the first three songs recorded previously). The album, to my amazement, sold nearly 500 copies, and was a great introduction to the world of recording music.
Looking back, I really wish I had used a click track which would have opened up the ability for other instruments to be added easily and would have sounded more refined. I would also have liked to spend more time mixing it, as I spent about 8 hours straight mixing with headphones. (A big no-no, at least with the headphones I had!)
Much credit needs to be paid to my manager at the time, Roger Ginnett, for helping me put this together and letting me use his place to finish the final pieces. My friend Jeremy Dennis from JBU also helped tremendously by controlling the computer for the various takes I had to record.
