Keep Me Strong
Early January 2002 to June 2002Keep Me Strong
by Jeremiah Rich
Finished June 2002
Started January 2002
Lord, what do I do, what do I say?
Trials have hit me in every single way
My days are long
and my days are dark
I don’t know where to turn
Don’t know where to start
So I run to you
And this I pray
***Chorus***
Don’t let my love for you run dry
Wipe these tears of pain from my eyes
Relight my flickering fire
Don’t let my love for you run dry
***Bridge***
I’ve been running the race of life myself, again
Forgetting to look to you for my help
Bring me back to a heart of worship I pray, again
Help me to worship you throughout every day
***2nd Chorus***
My love for you is not running dry
You have wiped these tears of pain from my eyes
My fire is brightly burning
My love for you is not running dry
Keep me strong
For all intents and purposes, this was the first complete song that I ever wrote. It came right after a hard time of questioning my faith. It was in January my faith was truly solidified, and I began to write songs. The song was released on a small album I did in November of 2003, titled “Keep Me Strong”. This was a free album I gave to a few friends at school. Hopefully there aren’t anymore floating around now. ![]()
